For the Record
Chapter 2: Pyres and Nightwalkers
Anne B. Walsh

I was a bit stuck on how to introduce the topic of my water jug the next morning. “Excuse me, but someone’s trying to poison me and I think it might be you” isn’t the best opening line for conversation over breakfast. Especially if the person you’re talking to was the cook.

Definitely interesting. All

Definitely interesting. All is not as it seems, indeed...I'm curious to see what pyre-trees are, who were/are Todd's friends, and also more about the Murcani. Pretty much everything, really. ;-)

The plot thickens

I'm betting the men have gotten tired of people like Todd's mother and have run off. Maybe we'll get to meet some of them later in the story. Overall, this is reminding me of the Pelbar Chronicles, which tell the story of a post nuclear apocalypse earth. Looking forward to reading more.

Ohh, it get's more

Phoenix — May 24, 2009 - 6:33am

Ohh, it get's more interessting. I'm really sure it was just an accident that the water wasn't good to drink. Just like in earlier times, somebody accidently pour some poison in the king's wine ...
I like Todd, if only because his mother seems to have a problem with her own son, but Todd seems to really want his people's secrets to be known.
Can't wait for the next chapter, Anne, very good work

Nice. Things seem to be

Dangams — May 24, 2009 - 5:06am

Nice. Things seem to be getting more interesting...

Have all the men really between eat by these nightwalkers? Or has something else happened? And that can't be good for a population...
