Important Information Regarding Payment Methods
James Jago — August 13, 2009 - 12:09pm
We've received a bug report where a Maestro cardholder was unable to make a direct payment. If anyone else has a similar problem, please let us know by emailing our webmaster at josh@thousandbookchallenge.com, including the text of the error message.
Until we can trace the fault, the only workarounds are to either use another card or transfer funds to your PayPal account. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Support the Thousand Book Challenge, with your presence and with... ahem... other things... and it’s more likely to happen!
This may seem greedy or mercenary of me, but let me explain. I spend about seven hours of every workday sitting at my desk doing nothing (my job consists of a half-hour’s work every morning and a few minutes’ worth every twenty minutes thereafter). I’m basically training myself to sit at a computer, hour after hour, day after day, and not write.

Well, hi there. If you're reading this, you're probably at least slightly interested in the stories on here. Unless you're my dad and here to be supportive, in which case I know perfectly well that you have zero interest in reading anything I've ever written or ever will write, but appreciate you making the effort nonetheless.
Anyway...
I'm not going to go into too much detail here on the stories just now, except to point out that none of the stories on here as I go to press are fully written yet. That's good news and bad news.
