The Thousand Book Challenge is the fancy name, but the reality is simple; it's some friends who all like to write, feel there isn't enough good writing out there, and hope to help make up for that with stories like Natural Life, Be Careful, and The Redstone Chronicles to start with—watch this space for more! Making money would be nice too, which is why you'll have the option to buy TBC credits and use them to pay for reading chapters of No Fairytale and For the Record, and others to be announced.

Anyone who signs up for a TBC account gets five credits free, and anyone who buys more credits after that gets a gold star beside their name any time they leave a review. The first chapter of a pay-access story is free; all other chapters cost a credit to read, but your access to them is permanent. You can also donate a credit for a chapter of a free story if you thought it was good.

Every time a story racks up 100 credits, a bonus bit from that world will be published for everyone to enjoy, and every time 1000 credits are redeemed on the site as a whole, gold-star users get a whole bonus story.
